【背景資料】：Proteins of the matrix metalloprotease (MMP) family are involved in the breakdown of extracellular matrix in normal physiological processes, such as embryonic development, reproduction, and tissue remodeling as well as disease processes such as arthritis and metastasis. Most MMP’s are secreted as inactive proproteins which are activated when cleaved by extracellular proteinases.

【應(yīng)用類型】：Western blotting (0.5-4 μg/ml). However, the optimal concentrations should be determined individually. The antibody recognizes the MMP-3 of human, mouse, rat, horse, and rabbit origins. Reactivity to other species has not been tested. The antibody detects the 55 kDa full length and the 21 kDa cleavage fragment of MMP-3.
