【背景資料】：Presenilin 1 and presenilin 2 are transmembrane proteins belonging to the presenilin family. Mutation of presenilin genes has been linked to early onset of Alzheimer’s disease, probably functioning through its associated g-secretase activity for amyloid-β protein processing. Endogenous presenilin mainly exists in a heterodimeric complex formed from the endoproteolytically processed N-terminal (34 kDa) and C-terminal (~20 kDa) fragments.

【應(yīng)用類型】：Western blotting (2-4 μg/ml), immunoprecipitation (20 μg/ml), and Immunohistochemistry (20 μg/ml). However, the optimal concentrations should be determined individually. The antibody recognizes Presenilin 2 of human, mouse, and rat origins. Reactivity to other species has not been tested.
